The Frontier Culture Museum of Virginia tells the story of the thousands of people who migrated to colonial America, and of the life they created here for themselves and their descendants.
The museum’s on-site store has become increasingly popular over the last few years. Visitors from out of town started to ask if they could shop for any of the store’s unique items online. Unfortunately for both customer and museum, the answer was no.
Until now. The museum’s online store, built by the Curren Group, allows shoppers around the world to browse and purchase handmade items made in the museum’s Ulster Forge as well as books and multimedia on frontier life along with selected local food specialties from the Shenandoah Valley.
The store offers secure transactions and an online catalog that’s easy for the store manager to update, all optimized for search engines.
