Founded in 1996, The Heifetz International Music Institute is a non-profit organization dedicated to the artistic growth and career development of some of the most talented and promising young musicians in the world.
As a six-week summer program, the Institute is founded upon the revolutionary educational concept that young musicians can be taught to communicate the emotion of music, beyond mere technical agility and beautiful playing.
Students come from nations as far away as South Korea and Israel to attend the Institute’s summer program each year. Over recent years, applications have grown and the Institute has become more selective in its acceptances.
To reach a larger audience of potential students, the Institute needed a new website that would more clearly highlight its faculty and offerings for the coming year. The site also needed to make it easier for students to apply online — and to complete and submit the applications that they had started.
The Institute also wanted a site to serve its other audiences, from concertgoers to donors, more effectively.
The Curren Group built a website that got more traffic and helped the Institute serve even more applicants, making its acceptance program even more competitive. In the first year after the new site was launched, traffic doubled and the rate of applications submitted also rose more than 25%.
In addition, the Institute was able to increase attendance at concerts through better outreach including posting concert videos on its homepage. The new site also allows visitors to browse upcoming concerts, buy tickets online and even print them out at home.
The the site has also helped the Institute to reduce its costs for direct mail by doing more cultivation of supporters online.
